I think it was fate that I accidentally received two issues of the new
House Beautiful this month. One to keep and one to plaster my drool all over, thanks to this exuberant ocean-side home designed by
Mona Ross Berman and photographed by
Jonny Valiant. I can safely say this is my newest dream home, so fresh and vibrant, filled with white and juicy pops of color and pattern.
I. Love. It. All. It's just so bright and sunny, so HAPPY. I love happy. I can imagine turning up the stereo and listening to a little
"Sound of Sunshine" here. In fact, go
play the song in another window and come back for another look at the photos. Your weekend has just started my friends! Enjoy it! :)

Where do I even start with this serene home designed by Endia Veerman of
Morph Interior Design and photographed by
Nancy Nolan? Maybe with the soothing blue, khaki and cream color palette used throughout the home? The master bedroom (painted Sherwin-Williams’ Silver Mist) is fit for a queen, while the girls' room (painted Sherwin-Williams’ Rain) is a total dream for any girl. Love that cabinetry! And talk about love...the dining room...hello there beautiful wallpaper! Read more about the home and finish the tour over at

If only every granddaughter could be so lucky!! Can you imagine the fun designer and artist
Tracy Rivers of Little Rock's
Angelfish Studios must have had when creating this luxury retreat for a 7-year old girl? Since it's not an everyday room for her, her grandparents wanted the space to be over the top, where she can be inspired during her visits. The walls are incredible here...hand-troweled Venetian plaster with a sparkly scroll design painted on the walls. And talk about shimmer, the tiles on the floor in the bathroom and miniature tiles in the shower are pearlescent with glitter grout. Glitter grout! See more of this beautiful space photographed by

Without a doubt one of my all-time favorite designers is
Windsor Smith. I am crazy about her elegant yet whimsical style and brilliant use of color. Is there anyone reading who hasn't drooled over that turquoise painted kitchen floor above?? It continues to make my heart sing! When it comes to designers with her level of talent and fame, I assume their services are usually reserved for those with the big budgets. Not so in her case. Windsor Smith believes everyone should have access to great design. I was excited to learn that she created an online decorating service called
"Room in a Box" to bring her clever design ideas and to-the-trade resources to those of us with great taste and perhaps a wee bit smaller budget! Just send her your room specs and some photos, fill out a questionnaire, and you're on your way to your own custom-designed Windsor Smith room! Read more about it

To have a cute little waterside cottage in Nantucket...how many of us would be in absolute heaven?! This picture-perfect one by architects
Brooks & Falatico with interior design by
Lynn Morgan Design is just what I'd dream up for myself. All that white spiced up with yummy turquoise! I'm in love with those turquoise Moroccan poufs in the living room and the big, cozy sectional. And how about the turquoise lacquered floor in the bedroom?! Swoon!
If you're loving this home, I know you'll go nuts over this other Nantucket home that Lynn designed. I featured it quite a while back, so many of you might have missed it. Check it out

I immediately bookmarked interior design firm
RLH Studio when they won honorable mention in the
Show Off Your Schumacher Wallcovering contest (and not just because they are from Minneapolis!) Since then I've seen the winning bathroom above floating around the blogopshere. And for good reason...is it not one of the most gorgeous bathrooms you've ever seen?? Schumacher's
Albero Floreale in Aqua wallpaper is incredible, and looks perfect with the paint color on the makeup vanity. The corresponding bedroom is so beautiful too, with more stunning wallcovering. The little girl's room is an absolute dream come true!! And I love the blue and green living room above...so comfy and colorful! There are lots more beautiful rooms I know you'll love over on their
website, so check it out!

Youthful and Sophisticated...talk about a combo that is tough to pull off! Not if you're the DIY genius Cassie of
Hi Sugarplum, who recently revealed one heck of a makeover on her blog. I absolutely adore this room,
everything about it, and I'm sure her young daughter is overjoyed with her new "big girl" space. She has her own art center and little hidden nook in the closet. What child wouldn't love that?! The wall color (
Waterscape by Sherwin Williams) is the perfect background for all the fun color and prints going on. The Parisian themed bedding (Nicole Miller's Fifi Collection) is pretty much the cutest thing ever! What I love most about this room though is that Cassie did a fantastic job chronicling all the DIY projects the room entailed. The fabulous drapes and monogrammed pelmet, the painted bed and highboy, the no-sew pillows, even faux crown molding, and lots of the accessories are all results of Cassie's hard work. You can see tons of photos and read all about each project on
Hi Sugarplum!....so much inspiration I could burst!!
I really want to thank you guys sooooo much for the super-sweet comments you left about our
wedding photos...it almost felt like our wedding day all over again!! All weekend long they kept rolling in and each one made me so happy!! You guys are the best! :)
