Remember that fantastic orange and turquoise showhouse
bedroom last week designed by
Porter Design Company? Designer Lauren Guarcello serves us another tasty treat with this home, filled with a fresh approach and fabulous fabrics! I'm loving the burst of turquoise on the chair upholstered in Quadrille's Nitik II from
China Seas. Looks so great next to that navy sofa trimmed in green! For more design inspiration, check out Porter Design Company's
blog...lots of eye candy there too!

I feel like we never see enough of
Schumacher's Chiang Mai Dragon in China Blue. Here is it, downright breathtaking in this
gorgeous powder room belonging to Carrie and Chris of the blog
Hazardous Design. They are in the process of renovating their 1886 New England home on Hazard Ave one room at a time. Since they moved in one year ago, they have tackled some big projects and have been detailing them all on their
blog. It's super inspiring! You have to see this
post for the before pics on this bathroom. You'll see just how far the space has come and love it THAT much more!

I could spend hours sifting through the portfolio of
Phoebe Howard. It seems every time I get drawn into her dreamy world I discover something new. I recently read a Q&A in the
Washington Post where Phoebe talked about her design philosophies. A hallmark of her style is the use of color in a monochromatic way. Even if the colors are vibrant, when you limit color contrast, it brings a sense of calm, order and serenity to a room. She even shared some of her favorite paint colors: Benjamin Moore's
Glass Slipper (one of my favorites too),
Healing Aloe,
Vale Mist,
Cream Fleece, and
Winter Wheat. If you're a fan, I'd definitely check the article out
here. And to see more of this blue beach home, head right

Funky! This Ibiza home named "Never Never Land" designed by Madrid-based architect
Andrés Jacque and featured in
The New York Times was built to have as minimal an impact as possible on the surrounding landscape. No trees had to be cut down during construction, and as you can see, they were actually incorporated into the interior! That's some serious dedication! How fabulous is that infinity pool overlooking the valley?! To see just how impressive this home actually is, head to
this gallery...it's insanely cool! Happy weekend everyone!

I love this saturated space photographed by
Magnus Anesund so much. The styling is awesome...the shade of turquoise on the wall next to the blues and yellow makes for such a stunning image!!
Speaking of stunning image, I'm so excited for today's giveaway, courtesy of my friend, fellow blogger, and photographer
Candace Rose. I can't believe it, but two years ago today she opened up her etsy shop! To celebrate she is giving one lucky House of Turquoise reader an 8 x 10 photography print tilted "Turquoise Sunflower". As much as I love all of her photography, this one continually remains a favorite. (I actually have it hanging on my office wall and get to enjoy it all day long!) You'll definitely want to check out her work, she has an amazing talent for floral, nature and pet photography. Oh, and her
blog is super fun too...one of my daily reads!
To enter:
- Visit the Candace Rose Etsy shop or ArtFire shop and leave a comment below with your favorite print.
- Please make sure your email is included in your comment if you don't have a blog!
- Winner will be randomly selected and announced Friday morning.
Good luck!
Giveaway is now closed. Tyler of Tyler's Taste Tests was the winner!

From the bottom of my heart, thank each and every one of you for your comments about my grandma. Your thoughts and prayers have brought me a lot of comfort and that is very much appreciated. The last couple of days have been tough, but her memory will live on and will always bring me much joy. We had a nice time in Iowa, including a lovely afternoon spent at the farm. The weather couldn't have been any more perfect.
Speaking of weather, I have the feeling there aren't going to be too many more weekends here in Minnesota where we can enjoy our porches. Doesn't this one designed by
Lee Ann Thornton take the cake?! It's crazy to me that something as simple as beautiful fabric can make my heart
so happy. (Here we have
Raoul Textiles...just stunning.) The weather is supposed to continue to be nice here, and I wish it only the best for all of you wherever you are this weekend!

I first fell in love with
Michelle Morgan Harrison Home, a design firm based in New Canaan, CT, when I saw this beach home (last few pictures above)
so long ago. I think I can actually credit Michelle for my first taste of the scrumptiousness that is aqua and orange. She recently re-launched her website, and it's filled with many more
fabulous images filled with
fabulous color. How stunning is the room with the peacock palette?! I'm especially loving the chair upholstered in
Schumacher Chiang Mai Dragon! Lets see it again,
it is that great. ;)
