Just when I didn't think I could love it any more!! Remember the week-long
Dream Home Tour we took a couple of weeks ago?? Since those photos were taken, my reader Cristi and her husband Jeff put up shutters painted the same fab color as the door and the garage,
Benjamin Moore's Wythe Blue. Doesn't it look amazing?! Another round of applause to the builder Morgan Hatfield of
Hatfield Homes and Cristi's photography at
Hiya Papaya! If you missed the tour, check out all five days starting
here.
I'm delighted to be a guest blogger today at
two fantastic blogs! The one-and-only
Tobi Fairley asked me to put together an "All-American Design" themed post for her, in turquoise of course! Then visit me over at the creative haven
DIY by Design where I'm sharing a few of my favorite readers' rooms. Come and say hello!
To all of my readers in America, Happy 4th of July!! I hope you have a wonderful, safe holiday weekend! See you on Tuesday!

I'm so not alone in the blogosphere when it comes to loving this space designed by
Jim Howard and photographed by
Franscesco Lagnese.
House Beautiful actually featured much more of the amazing home, but this romantic bedroom was my absolute favorite. I know this isn't the best photo in the world, so head over
here to see more of this gorgeous beach home!
Just a sidenote: we're getting pretty close to the wedding here...16 days to be exact!! (Eek! So exciting!) My posts might be a little more sparse than usual from here on out, and regrettably some emails may be falling through the cracks. I'll make it up to you with wedding photos though, I promise! Actually we just had our engagement photos taken last night. (We waited until the very end, I know, but around here the snow is finally losing its battle against the sun!) And yes, there was turquoise!! :)

What a darling kitchen from the February issue of
25 Beautiful Homes! I think what I love most (other than the pretty paint job!) is the fact there is stuff all over the countertops and a dog bowl in the middle of the floor. How refreshing is that?! Anyway, I really want to paint our cabinets now. There's no better instant facelift!

It should come as no surprise that this clean and light little boy's room is out of Scandinavia. I first saw it on
Norske Interiørblogger, but you can check out more of the space on the Norwegian blog
Lykke Bo. A side note: I studied Norwegian two years in college, part of that full-time in Oslo. My norsk today?? Ikke så bra. It's a good thing lovely rooms and beautiful photography speak a universal language!
So have you guys all heard about the upcoming
Design Bloggers Conference?? It's a two-day conference out in LA at the end of February. So many of our favorite design bloggers are speaking, and even more attending. (You can see the list of both
here.) Can you imagine...two whole days entirely focused on
design blogging?! Meeting all of our cyber friends?! Networking with some super-talented people?! What a dream come true!!! I've officially decided that I'm attending, so if any of you are as well, please let me know!
I wish you all a wonderful weekend! Stay warm!

This beach house designed by the talented
Elsa Soyars and featured in the latest
Adore Home has been floating around the blogosphere, but if it doesn't scream House of Turquoise, I don't know what does! I was so happy to see more of the fabulous home in Elsa's
portfolio. I've been a big fan of hers for a while now (see my post
here). It's just the way she does beachy chic is so up my alley! I just can't get enough of the neutral colors brought to life with the cheery turquoise. Did you see that kitchen?! I need to wipe the drool off my keyboard here.
Seriously...is there a Hamptons home that I
don't like?!
Enjoy your weekend everyone!! I don't know about you, but I need to get some serious shopping done!

Like so many of you, I love everything that
Mabley Handler Interior Design touches. This beach-side Amagansett home featured in
Hamptons Cottages & Gardens certainly is no exception. The clients wanted a sophisticated beach house, with a cool color palette reminiscent of the ocean and sandy beaches on a misty day. The serene pale oyster gray with a hint of blue is brought to life with texture and depth in such a beautiful way with all the accessories.
(Oh my goodness, those chandeliers!) To read more about the home, head over
here. And if you missed them before, check out these posts
here and
here for more eye candy from
Mabley Handler! Enjoy your weekend everyone! :)

The sitting room in this home designed Julia Edelmann of
Buckingham Interiors + Design has to be one of the neatest I've seen! I am absolutely dying here over that fabric (
Flowershow from
Christopher Carr), the colors and oversize botanical print are complete perfection. (And the chairs look comfy too!) How awesome are those barstools in the kitchen?! They're covered in vinyl, but the nail heads keep them looking très cool! See more of the home
here!
