One of my favorite things about having this blog is seeing the lovely turquoise rooms that my readers design! You guys are such a creative bunch who seem to love turquoise just as much as I do! I'm hoping that you enjoy looking at "real rooms" as much as I do because I have a lot more to share. Don't you agree that they can provide endless inspiration?! There's nothing like learning how to do things on a budget, finding great products at our favorite stores...or simply finding out what shade of paint someone used! So thanks to the ladies mentioned above for being a part of this first installment of Readers' Turquoise Rooms! Your little ones are a lucky bunch!
If YOU have a turquoise room, I hope you consider sending it to me at erin@houseofturquoise.com! :)

I am loving the comfy, cozy and cool vibe of this home shot by photographer
James Salomon. It automatically brings me to the middle of the summer (I swear I even just heard that cute screen door shut!) I think the bedroom is my favorite...the blue and green color scheme is so refreshing. LOVE that painted floor in there too! Check of more beautiful homes lucky enough to be photographed by Jamie over
here!

A while back
BeachBungalow8 had a post featuring all sort of colorful Chicago condos from an article in
Chicago Home & Garden magazine. This one obviously stuck out to me with its bold blue and gold color scheme. The shades of blue are all so heavenly! I especially love how the bed area is raised and separated by the curtains. The tufted headboard is my favorite feature of the room though!

We are loving this new
barstool from Nuevo Living. It would be a perfect for a mid-century home, don't you think? Simple, clean-lined. Totally modern.
The barstool comes in 26" height with a 12"5 footrest. The leather shown here is black but it is also available in white and brown as well. The price is $450/stool.

I thought this photograph taken by
Paul Raeside was just too lovely not to share. The lighting is just perfect! Love the striped fabric on the ottoman. What do you guys think about the ship?? I know I've seen them in a few other rooms...they definitely add a funky touch!
