The Battery at Seasalter

I could have sworn I've featured part of this space before, but when I ran into more images of it on 1st Option, I was excited to share. The Battery is a beautiful building located on the coast of Seasalter in the UK. Interestingly enough, it was built in 1874 for the Royal Naval Reserve as a base for target practice with gunners firing out to sea. Somehow I doubt it was turquoise back then!

Art Murals for Large Spaces

We think the large murals that you see in Starbuck or Barnes and Nobles are really cool.  We always wish we can get something like that at home.  It will work great if you have a large loft with tall, tall ceilings, don't you think?  So much cooler than wallpapers.

We found a source today for it that we thought you might want to check out.  They do mostly commercial installations but you can buy them for residential as well.

Luxurious Dining

When I saw this dining room from Traditional Home on Peacock Feathers, I felt like I was opening up a beautiful jewelry box filled with glistening goodies. The room is so grand and formal, but I feel like the pretty colors make it feel more comfortable and casual. What an extraordinary space!

Centsational Girl

I am completely and madly in love with this bedroom designed by reader and fellow blogger Kate of Centsational Girl. Together with her 17 year-old stepdaughter, they completely transformed the space from a funky teen room into this sophisticated and serene "grown up girl's room". I think it's absolute perfection, definitely one of my all-time favorite bedrooms! Don't you just LOVE the Graham and Brown "Midsummer" wallpaper and the Sea Flower duvet?? They look amazing next to those beautiful walls! Sköna Hem

Yesterday Down and Out Chic had a great post about using restrained touches of turquoise in decor. This home from Sköna Hem was one of my favorite examples.
